How Reverse Osmosis Works
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines Reverse Osmosis as units that “force water through a semi-permeable membrane under pressure, leaving contaminants behind.” RO requires a considerable amount of water pressure.
The EPA considers reverse osmosis the best technology when removing uranium, radium, and other radionuclides. It is the only filter capable of removing small contaminants like fluoride.
